Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) was established in 1905 and is a large government owned institute situated in the sunniest region of New Zealand with campuses in Nelson and Marlborough. NMIT is classed as a Category 1′ institution, the highest ranking possible, by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

NMIT offers more than 100 programmes at certificate, diploma or degree level across a broad range of study areas.
