Trent-ESL offers intensive English language preparation for university success. In small classes, you will build your language, research, and academic skills and become engaged in campus life. Conditional admission means that you will have a guaranteed position in your degree program once you complete Trent-ESL. English as a Second Language International – ESLI

ESLI is the original Pathway Program into North American university degree programs. Our mission is to improve the English language skills of international students and prepare them for academic success in North American universities. ESLI offers academic English language programs on eight North American university campuses.  

ESLI is the English Language Centre on the main campus of TWU in Langley, BC.

• ESLI is a designated learning institution with Canada Immigration & Citizenship and is accredited by BC EQA and Languages Canada .
• International Students can enter TWU directly without submitting IELTS, TOEFL or CAEL scores after graduating from ESLI.
• ESLI also offers Academic English Only programs to students who wish to study English on a traditional university campus.
• All ESLI students are issued TWU ID cards and have the same rights and privileges as domestic university students.
• We accommodate all levels from beginner to advanced English.
• International students can apply for all programs regardless of English competency at the time of application.
